Prayer requests for May

Our prayer requests are updated regularly on our website, but I wanted to share them here too.
1. Coincidentally, the county in which we live is the most ethnically diverse county in Minnesota, outside of Minneapolis. It is a wonderful thing for us, and especially our children, to be exposed to and become comfortable around people of other cultures. Please pray that we make the most of these opportunities to broaden our worldviews, our comfort zones, and our palates! Also pray that we intentionally seek out the lost here in our community, and build bridges with them to share the Gospel in appropriate ways.
2. We are so happy to have some new folks on our team, partnering with us through sacrificial giving. Please pray for God to burden more people with a desire to participate in this ministry
3. We are very excited about a trip planned for June. The whole family will be driving to Charlotte NC to see Jana's family, to the beach for a few days with Patrick's family, then to speak at Hanover Friends Evangelical Church, in Mechanicsville, VA. This holds a special place in our hearts, as Patrick's dad pastored there for 18 yrs, and Patrick spent 10 years there himself. So it is a homecoming, in addition to an exciting time of sharing our passion with the church body there. Please pray for safety (and sanity!) on our long road trip, and a blessed and fruitful time at Hanover Friends.
4. Patrick is currently spending the week in North Carolina, undergoing a pre-TE (technical evaluation) consult. Pray for safety as he flies, and for this to be a very profitable time of preparation and learning. Thank you to our partners who have put money into our Outgoing Fund. These important steps are paid for through our Outgoing Fund.
5. Please pray for good time management and energy for Patrick and Jana. Most of our time is taken up with every day life: Patrick's full time job during the day (and often after hours), graduate school online in the evenings, and serving in the local church; Jana taking care of the kids, (somewhat) keeping up the home, and homeschooling. In addition to the regular things, this year of training, preparation and building our team is another part time job. We are really grateful for the well laid out orientation process, and the accountability that AIM provides, but it is hard to fit it all in! Pray we would be faithful where we are right now but still keep our vision strong. Pray we work and serve well, but still prioritize our marriage and our family.
